Santa Barbara, CA – Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, LLP (BPW), Santa Barbara-based accounting and consulting firm, recently promoted 3 team members to management positions.
Tracey Solomon was recently promoted to Senior Manager in the firm’s Audit Department. Tracey joined Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, LLP in 2003 and is experienced in planning, supervising and executing audit and accounting engagements.
Tracey has a diverse portfolio of clients, including, but not limited to, start-up companies, governmental entities and both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Her specialties include employee benefit plan audits, special district audits and accounting consulting.
Additionally, she is actively involved with closely held companies in a wide range of industries, such as technology and service.
Tracey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA). She also serves on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer for the local nonprofit organization, Catalyst for Thought.
Tracey graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting and a minor in Global Peace and Security.
Linda Viles, the firm’s newest Senior Manager in the Tax Department, joined Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, LLP in 2003. She is experienced with complex tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals as well as partnership and LLC taxation.
Over the course of her career, Linda spent four years in private industry-corporate accounting, four years in governmental accounting as a tax auditor for the IRS and eight years in public accounting.
Linda graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California Lutheran University and received her Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA). She currently serves as a member of the Board Directors for the local not-for-profit organization, Domestic Violence Solutions.
Jacob Sheffield, recently promoted to Manager in the Tax Department, focuses his expertise on complex tax planning and compliance matters for corporations and their shareholders. Jacob joined the firm in 2005.
He works closely with privately-held corporations and their management team on stock transactions, ownership distributions and compensation, as well as GAAP to tax accounting and accounting for taxes on financial statements.
Jacob also spearheads BPW’s Internship Program, which is designed to educate and develop high quality, long-term team members.
As a graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2005, Jacob received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. He recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
