Eileen Sheridan, PartnerThe Pacific Coast Business Times recently named BPW Partner Eileen Sheridan as one of the 2017 Top 50 Women in Business. This award acknowledges top female executives in a range of professions and also considers their involvement in the community. Eileen was recognized with the other honorees at an awards reception on April 13 at the Deckers Rotunda.

Eileen joined Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, LLP in 1987, becoming a partner in 1996. A skilled generalist who has worked extensively with individuals and businesses on a variety of complex taxation matters, Eileen has focused her practice at BPW on estate, trust and charitable planning. She is the founding member of the firm’s estate planning group, which is dedicated to assisting clients with both basic and sophisticated estate tax planning, as well as philanthropic goals.

Eileen is a graduate from the University of Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, cum laude, and holds a Master of Taxation degree from Golden Gate University.

Eileen is a long-standing member and past president of the Channel Counties Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), an organization with over 700 local CPAs. In addition, Eileen also serves on CalCPA’s Statewide Committee on Taxation and the Estate Planning Committee.

She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Santa Barbara Estate Planning Council.

Eileen currently serves on the board of directors for the Music Academy of the West and is a member of the Academy’s Planned Giving Committee. She is past board chair of the Santa Barbara Foundation and was a lecturer at UCSB in the Department of Economics for over ten years.

 
BPW Partner Danna McGrew was nominated as one of CalCPA’s 2017 Women to Watch in the Experienced Leaders Category. This award recognizes leaders in the industry for their high level of expertise, their commitment to further developing the profession through mentorship and their involvement in the community.

Danna, along with the other nominees, were recognized at the Women’s Leadership Forum Luncheon in San Francisco on April 28.

Danna joined Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, LLP in 1992 and is a Certified Public Accountant with experience in coordinating, managing and executing audit and accounting engagements. As a partner in the firm’s audit department, she uses creative approaches to highlight opportunities for improvement in business operations. She has been involved in all aspects of financial reporting, including attest engagements, accounting consulting, internal control evaluations and litigation support engagements.

Danna is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of CPAs and the Certified Fraud Examiners Association. In 2007, Danna was named “Accountant of the Year” by the California Special District Association (CSDA). She was also named Who’s Who in Professional Services and one of the Top 50 Women in Business by the Pacific Coast Business Times.

Danna is a graduate of the Katherine Harvey Fellows program at the Santa Barbara Foundation and is highly involved in the local community. She serves on the South Coast Business & Technology Awards Steering Committee as well as their Nominating Committee; she is also President of the California Central Coast Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association Board of Directors. Danna is a member of the Finance Committee for the Santa Barbara Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara. She enjoys mentoring San Marcos students through the Kids Helping Kids program, aligning students with local business leaders.

A graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1991, Danna received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting. Outside of the firm, Danna enjoys spending time with her family.
